BORDA Cambodia

BORDA Cambodia has been working to improve the lives of people in Cambodia since 2009. Our mission is to transform disadvantaged communities and preserve the environment by expanding sanitation services, decentralized sanitation, wastewater management, fecal sludge treatment, solid waste management, and holistic livable city planning. We have worked in numerous provinces over the years and from year 2023 onward we will expand our focus to the cities of Kratie, Chbar Mon, and Sen Monorom.

Our key achievements are the following:

· Implemented 170 DEWATS (Decentralized Wastewater Treatment System) projects, treating an average of 523 cubic meters of wastewater per day.

· Installed 163 water supply systems, providing clean and safe water to over 100,000 people.

· Upgraded 180 primary schools and one public high school, benefiting around 80,000 students.

· We have upgraded sanitation facilities for more than 1000 staff and patients across three hospitals.

· We have established a material recovery facility, benefiting 500 households. This has helped to reduce waste and promote recycling.

Our projects have directly benefited approximately 100,000 people, including students, teachers, shopkeepers, and community members. We are committed to reaching even more people in need in the years to come.
